Compact Fiber Gyros

SA Photonics has ongoing gyroscope technology programs which focus on developing high sensitivity low-drift Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOGs), with revolutionary small size weight and power. Our unique FOGs are designed with small diameter fiber coils that minimize or remove the power needed for temperature stabilization, and maximize bias drift performance.

Our ultra compact FOGs are driven by SA Photonics closed-loop high speed electronics which deliver a stable scale factor with linearity of up 200 PPM. Our engineers have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of high speed digital electronics, analog circuit design, and RF / Optical communications systems. This broad expertise has enabled the innovative approach that drive our SA Photonics’ gyroscopes.
