Coherent Fiber LADAR

SA Photonics has developed a complete-end-to-end Coherent Doppler LADAR system. The coherent receiver utilizes an offset homodyne optical receiver which maximizes receiver sensitivity. Very large link distances can be supported. The receiver supports Range Time Intensity (RTI) and Range Resolved Doppler Imaging (RRDI) results.

System Features:

  • SA Photonics’ modulated high power fiber amplifier technology to generate pulsed transmit waveforms with high beam quality to insure maximum on-target optical power
  • SA Photonics’ precision high speed fast-steering mirror to be able to point and track high speed moving targets
  • Pulse-burst waveforms to enable simultaneous range resolved and velocity resolved measurements. Range precision is better than  than one meter with a high velocity precision. The waveform generator allows arbitrary burst-pulse waveforms to be created.
